Surf & SUP Events
Winter is the time when the world’s best Kite and Wind surfers are in Barbados to put on the best wave show in the West Indies. From October to March, surfers return to the island to experience MoonRaker Beach Hotel in the epicenter of fun activities, events and adventures.
Local tip: Moonraker is locally referred to as Surfer’s Bay.
Are you a Stand Up Paddle Board surf beginner looking to hone your skills? Onsite at the hotel, you can learn SUP at Surfer’s Bay and take a tour of relaxing Carlisle Bay (turtles a highlight) with professional instructor guide, all arranged by the hotel.
Welcome to the thrill of Surfing in warm water year-round. The island has remained since the 70’s the Caribbean’s main draw for surfing. Popular surf spots are South Point, Brandon’s and the legendary ‘Soup Bowl’ break at Bathsheba.
All of the equipment necessary for the lesson is also included: surfboard, leash and instruction. Just bring your own swimwear and towel for after the lesson.
